Collection: Kumano Kodo Hiker's Club

熊野古道を拠点にしたハイキングコミュニティブランド。地域文化とトレイル文化を融合させた活動を展開。

The Kumano Kodo is one of Japan's oldest long trails and a UNESCO World Heritage Site as part of the Sacred Sites and Pilgrimage Routes in the Kii Mountain Range.

For over 1000 years, Japan's ancient pilgrimage routes have welcomed people from all walks of life, including retired emperors and aristocrats.

The arduous pilgrimage to Kumano, traversing the mountainous region of the Kii Peninsula, involves strict religious ceremonies of worship and purification, which are an essential part of the pilgrimage itinerary.

Walking the ancient Kumano Kodo is a wonderful way to experience the region's sacred sites, the Kumano Sanzan, as well as cultural landscapes such as Japan's ancient countryside.
